I Wonder...

I wonder if you miss me

I wonder if you think of me

Does a song come on the radio

Or a certain time of year

A scent or a phrase

A memory drift across your mind

I wonder if you miss me

I wonder if you think of me

I’m not sure if I do of you

It’s so fleeting when it does

That it isn’t worth remembering

There is no point after all

For you are gone

You will never be here again

But even still, I wonder

Sometimes, I still wonder

Do you ever miss me

Do you ever think of me

I wonder if you miss me

I wonder if you think of me

This is a poem.  For some reason, I have to have 150 words to post this, but I feel like adding to it would somehow take away from the original meaning of the poem.  As a result, I am ending with an explanation, which will put me at over 150 words as is required.

This is so damned honest and full of pathos. I love your style and I like the evanescent quality of your expression. "You will never be here again, but even still I wonder". Love your work.
